Systems Integration Engineer

Our client, a technology solution company and federal contractor is seeking a Systems Integrator Engineer to work in a collaborative, iterative development environment. The candidate will work as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Responsibilities include performing design, development, integration test and documentation duties to ensure proper operation of software platforms and applications as well as integrate a wide variety of applications from serious various sources while ensuring they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization. In addition to these tasks, they will adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests, participate in peer and design reviews, and generate test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality. Lastly, the candidate is expected to participate in the automation activities to establish continuous integration, continuous deployment, and DevOps.

Location: Richardson, Texas
Security clearance: an active and in scope TS/SCI US security clearance

Required skills:
  • Systems integration experience on a large government software development contract
  • Experience with integration and test procedures and plans
  • Solid foundation in Linux or Unix
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and
  • Ability to manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
  • Knowledge of products with Atlassian tools specifically Jira and confluence
  • Experience working in an agile DevSecOps development environment being part of a highly integrated team working with SE SW integration and verification teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skill
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of tools for example word Excel and PowerPoint

Desired skills:
  • Security+ certification
  • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript Ruby or Python And familiarity with JavaScript framework such as angular JS jQuery or backbone dot JS
  • Experience with C++ language experience with containers such as docker and or Kubernetes experience with version control software such as clear case or git Experience with continuous integration tools such as Hudson Jenkins or cruise control
  • Experience utilizing relational databases such as Oracle mark logic Postgres
  • Experience utilizing non-relational databases such as mongo DB, Hadoop
  • Experience with a WS
  • Experience in systems engineering process development and deployment
  • Experience with application lifecycle management tools slash platforms such as Jira and confluence
