Job Summary of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler: 
Are you looking for a hands-on position to work in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are looking to hire a Part-Time / Assembler in our Wood Shop on 2nd Shift!
Schedule: Monday–Thursday. 6 hours/day. Flexible start time between 3:00 PM and Midnight

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler:
  • Compares identifying information and counts , weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
  • Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  • Insert items into containers.
  • Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
  • Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Maintains the inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
  • Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
  • Inspect shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Counts, weighs, measures, or examines packaging and contents for conformance to company specifications.
  • Compares items packed with customer's orders and other identifying data.
 Education & Experience Requirements of the Part-Time Wood Shop Assembler
  • Assemble wooden or cardboard containers, or select preassembled containers
  • Insert items into containers with care and accuracy
  • Nail covers onto wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
