We are seeking an experienced HVAC Installer with strong knowledge of boiler systems and geothermal heat pumps to join our team in Cincinnati. The ideal candidate has hands on experience installing residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including hydronic boiler systems and geothermal heat pump applications. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to high quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
A retiree looking for a few days a week is accepted. Use of electronic dispatch program, i.e., Service Titan is helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Install, replace, and commission residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including boilers, hydronic piping, radiant systems, and geothermal heat pump systems
- Install and pipe hot water and steam boiler systems, circulators, expansion tanks, and related components
- Assist with geothermal loop field connections and ground loop system installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and installation manuals
- Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and manufacturer requirements
- Start up systems and verify proper operation, temperatures, pressures, and efficiency
- Troubleshoot installation related issues and make necessary adjustments
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Complete installation documentation accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of HVAC installation experience required
- Proven experience with boiler systems required, including hydronic piping
- Experience with geothermal heat pump systems preferred
- EPA Section 608 certification required
- Valid Ohio or Kentucky driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in tight spaces and varying weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- Boiler or hydronics training or certification a plus
- IGSHPA geothermal training or certification a plus
- Experience with radiant floor heating systems
- Basic electrical and HVAC controls knowledge
